Meet Jennie

Jennie arrived with her buddy, Lilah. They were found on the side of the road where they had been hanging for a week. The area was clearly not familiar to them and we feel they were waiting for the folks that abandoned them. Jennie was very shy and fearful initially and now she has opened up to our staff and isn't bashful about climbing into your lap even thought she is likely 60-65 lbs! We think Jennie is between 1 & 2 years old. Good with other dogs. Jennie doesn't easily trust strangers at first moments. She requires a friendly calm introduction. We think she and Lilah grew up with little attention from folks. Jennie will be guarded until she feels comfortable with new folks. She also fears cats but, we think she is capable of becoming friends with them.

We are a rural shelter with high intakes. As a result, the shelter dogs are not guaranteed safety. We do our best but, we need help.
