Jelly Yorkshire Terrier Mix Palo Alto, CA

This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, April 6th at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-3pm, unless he/she is set up and adopted prior to the event. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event.

Jelly is looking for her perfect sandwich blend in the form of her forever home! This 3 year old Yorkie mix is truly one of a kind! Jelly came to DPS heavily pregnant and gave birth only a few days later. While we don't know how she landed in the shelter, we know that this sweet, kind, gentle, and intelligent girl deserves the very best. After being the best Mama to her puppies, Jelly is now ready to find a sweet home of her very own. If you're looking for endless love and cuddles, look no further than Jelly!

Jelly absolutely adores her people above all else! Even when volunteers were holding her newborn puppies, all she wanted was to give kisses and snuggles to the humans! She has a sixth sense for her people and gets so excited for cuddles, rolling right over with her legs in the air awaiting her belly rubs. Jelly adores soaking up the sun, cuddling in a dog bed, or curling up on a lap. She is basically as happy as a clam as long as she can be near you. When Jelly meets new people, every single one leaves with a desire for MORE JELLY, which is what we love to hear! Jelly is so loyal and sweet and is such a joy to have around. She has made herself a foster favorite and her little paws have touched countless hearts. She can't wait to find a family ready to match the love she pours out into the world, as she truly deserves the best!
Jelly starts her morning with a big stretch and some cuddles with her puppies around 7 AM. After a trip outside, she enjoys her breakfast and then settles in for a morning nap. In the late morning, she spends some time playing with her puppies and the resident household dogs. She loves toys of all kinds, but especially soft squeaky ones! In the afternoon, Jelly gets a romp outside and loves getting her sniffs out as she checks out the neighborhood. She's made tons of friends so walks are her social hour! She'd be great helping you make new pals. In the evening, Jelly has dinner at 7 PM before settling down with her foster family for cuddles while they watch TV and unwind from the day. After one last potty break, Jelly heads to bed for the night!
Jelly adores other dogs and happily plays with dogs of all sizes. She is fostered with a small and a large breed pup. Jelly gets along with cats, and most of them are larger than her. She walks very well on the leash and charms everyone she meets. Jelly is a fast learner and very smart, she has already learned "sit" and "leave it" and quickly mastered potty pads. She is so people motivated she doesn't even need treats! Jelly is just so ready to get out and show the world what she is made of with her forever people!

Jelly is an option for just about any home, regardless of prior dog owning experience. Jelly would be an amazing first-time dog, as she is overflowing with amazing dog vibes. Kids in the home should be over the age of 8, due to her smaller size.
