Meet Jax Axel
Jax Axel was rescued from animal control after being found as a stray. Even though she was microchipped, her owners never reclaimed her. Jax is 18 months old and approximately 65 lbs. She is in need of an adopter with GSD experience - no cats or small dogs.
Jax has some stranger danger, but has done well with proper introductions. She’s a flighty lady and has been known to be frightened by scary things (such as a pile of logs or a pink yoga ball), and needs a home willing to work with her on continued confidence building. Jax is active and definitely needs an outlet for her energy, but also likes to cuddle up to her people on the couch for pets and affection. She likes other dogs but doesn’t always take cues from them. She would do well as an only dog, with another large playful dog, or with a dog that wouldn’t mind her antics. Jax is housebroken and crate trained, but does suffer from FOMO in a major way. If you have a busy household with lots of people coming and going, she is not the dog for you. Jax loves the water hose and enjoys playing in her pool. As it gets cooler, she’s become a fetch aficionado as well.
Jax knows sit, down, off, and stay. She loose leash walks wonderfully – she’s a creature of habit and would prefer to walk the same familiar routes every day. He has a ton of love to give and is just looking for the right person!
