Jax Alaskan Malamute Mix Bellingham, WA

Hi, my name is Jax! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Silly, adventurous, energetic!
-Can Live with Kids: Yes, Jax could live with dog-savvy, sturdy kids around 12 years and up.
-Can Live with Cats: Possibly! Jax has lived with cats in the past but would need a very slow introduction process to be successful with new feline friends.
-Can Live with Dogs: Possibly! He has lived with other dogs in the past although there is a note from the previous owner stating they occasionally fought over food. He has got along with some dogs in the shelter. Introductions would be scheduled to ensure everyone gets along.
-Can do Apartment Living: No thanks! Jax's ideal home would have a large, fenced in yard.
-Potty Trained: May need some work!
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: One private lesson may be required depending on adopter experience.
-Energy Level: HIGH!!!
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: No
-Additional Information: Jax is a big boisterous dude who is looking for a home that has experience with northern breeds! He was unfortunately surrendered to the shelter because his last family was just not fit to have a high energy dog that likes to roam. Jax did have a habit of running off to the neighbors to mess with their chickens, so his ideal home would have a securely fenced yard with no small animals around. It would be best if Jax's new adopters did not have to leave him alone for too long during the day. Also, he will need a very active household that has the time to take Jax on many outdoor adventures!
