Meet -Jasper in Maine
IN MAINE:
MEET JASPER! Is he cute or what? We have been asked by our friends at Greater Androscoggin Humane Society in Lewiston to spread the word about him, so please help us with that!
This precious guy is a 10 ½-year-old, 28 lbs. mixed breed male who is housebroken, walks well on a leash, and does well on car rides. He can be shy at first, but will warm up very nicely when offered treats! He is very smart and knows to sit, down, paw, roll over and speak. He would love lots of walks and adventures, then would be ready to snuggle up to his person!
Jasper is requesting a very specific type of home:
1. A small and quiet adult-only home (1-2 would be perfect!)
2. NO OTHER PETS, NO CHILDREN as they make him very nervous.
3. He is not suited for apartment living as he will bark when he sees something out of the window.
4. He has some body-sensitive issues especially with grooming as he's had some negative experiences in those environments. It is going to be important that his family work very closely with a positive reinforcement groomer and vet to work through these things.
5. He does struggle with some resource guarding, and the shelter will discuss ways to work with him on this!
We know that he will thrive in the right environment!
