Meet Jamie
I just passed my one-month anniversary with PAWS, and although I like all the attention, walks and doing some training, I would love to find my forever home to call my own.
I want to take a few short walks daily and check things out. Loud noises can startle me (big trucks, noisy bus breaks), and I will look to you for reassurance. Sometimes, it takes me a few minutes to regain my composure; we can start walking again. I like to meet new people and am very friendly.
I haven't met any children yet, but as I am very gentle, I am sure I would be OK with them. I occasionally jump up so that younger toddlers might get knocked over. I love to play ball and am food-motivated. I have seen cats on our walks and am indifferent to them, so I am confident I would be OK with a cat with proper introductions. I am not particularly fond of other male dogs, but I do great with females, so a sister who likes to play would benefit me in continuing to build my confidence. After my walks and a little ball play, I am ready to chill out with you and relax, chewing on a bone.
