I am Jake! I am a ball of energy, always ready for a game of tug or a walk. Do you like to take walks? So do I! Do you like to run? So do I! Do you need some quiet time? So do I!

I’m fully crate-trained and content to sleep or gnaw on a chew toy in my crate, while you’re at work or while you sleep. I’m not only cute, I am clever! I am smarty-paws who loves mental challenges and has mastered every food puzzle my foster mom has given me. Also, I really love tug-of-war!

I’m very food motivated and easy to train. I’m learning “sit” and “down” quite well and how to walk with a loose leash. I don’t necessarily need a big yard, as I like to chill outside!

Because I’m still young and energetic, I think I would do will in a family with children over the age of 8. I’m still growing into my paws and can be a little bit clumsy when I get moving quickly.

Overall, I am a quiet boy. I only bark when I get excited and am learning that “shush” means I should stop. I love to meet new people and greet them by rubbing against their legs with a furiously wagging tail.

I would likely do well with another canine buddy, but I’m still not fully sure about a feline friend.
