Jack Pomsky Stanton, MI

Meet Jack! He’s a handsome 4 year old Pomsky, who weighs about 25 lbs. Jack had an unfair start to life but is making great strides being given the attention and training he deserves. Jack feels very proud of himself when he makes his human happy! He is highly trainable and thrives on structure and daily walks. He bonds very quickly, which makes him a great one-on-one companion. On the other side of the same coin, he needs an owner dedicated to teaching boundaries from the start, so his love for his human doesn’t develop into defensiveness.

Jack needs a home without children. His genetics tell him to herd animals, so he would do best in a home without cats, puppies or other small, hyper dogs. He has done well in a foster home with a large, laid-back adult dog. He’d also be amazing as the only animal in the home.

Jack is house and leash trained, knows his name and basic commands, is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and vet checked. Jack is learning about how to play with toys (we’re not sure he ever had any before!), and really loves puzzle toys. His high intelligence and curiosity make him the perfect dog for things like that, as well as training challenges from his human. He also loves snuggles and adores car rides!

This boy needs a home with structure and routine. His humans should have familiarity with doggy-obedience training and be willing to give him daily exercise. Jack is very loyal and playful; the payoff for dedication to him will be great! Jack deserves to live life being given the attention and care he didn’t get before.

Upon application approval, a home visit will be required, and possibly more than one meet-and-greet with Jack.
