Indy 2619 Cattle Dog & German Shepherd Dog Mix Stephens City, VA

Indy was rescued after being hit by a vehicle and left for days, unable to walk. SSR stepped in and saved her life, once it was determined Indy would be euthanized after biting a vet tech while handling her. It's been a long journey, she has been with SSR since August 2022. She slowly started to gain her mobility back. It was a glorious sight to see the will she has. Her trust in humans has taken some time, but she's the happiest gal with her canine buddies. She relies on them to be sure all is okay. She prefers male dog companions over females-big or small is all good with her, even the kitties are safe around Indy. Indy loves food/treats and will come running if she thinks there may be some yummies for her. She absolutely enjoys her walks and is great on a leash. She will not wonder far from her crew either. Indy does take time to warm up to unknown people, but head scratches, treats, and walks will win her over. She will bite if startled, so no kids will be best. This good girl is up to date on shots, spayed, housebroken, and crate trained. Her crate is her 'safe place' and rather have an open crate available, just in case. Despite her back end still giving her some trouble, she can go up stairs, run extremely fast, and can climb up on the couch. A ramp is used for her to get in the car, as she doesn't care to be picked up. Indy is heartworm positive and treatment will continue to be covered by SSR. Indy is ready for her special someone to spend her forever happy!
