- India is a sweet girl who loves to be pet, kissed and loved on. She will gladly jump up on your lap for some loving!
- She also loves her own space and will gladly nap on a blanket or bed within distance of her humans.
- She LOVES toys!
- Shes good in a crate through the night and only takes about 15 minutes to settle in
- She walks ok on a leash and is working on pulling sometimes
- SMART GIRL. She learned her ‘sit’ command in less than a day and can do it perfectly now
- No yummy treats? That’s ok, she’s not overly food motivated and would much rather be told how pretty she is
- She’d love to come on your next adventure, she’s a great people watcher and good in the car!

What breed am I? Mixed mutt! ODHS does not breed label (unless there’s official paperwork), as studies show it is nearly impossible to tell the exact breed of each dog based off of their appearance.

Adoption Donations are $275 for an adult, $375 for puppies (a dog under one year of age), and $175 for a senior dog (based on the age of the dog). More "sought out breeds may have a higher adoption donation) Adoption donations are to be made via cash, or credit/debit card. There is a $5 fee to run cards. We do not accept checks for adoption fees.


Please remember to bring a martingale collar and leash (non-retractable) with you the day of the adoption.

We typically have adoption events on Wednesdays 5-7pm, Fridays 6-8pm, and Saturdays noon to 4pm. Our adoption center is located at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Suite 101, Fredericksburg, VA 22408. It's important that you keep an eye on your emails for any changes or updates during the adoption process.

Old Dominion Humane Society is a volunteer based organization. We are run completely by volunteers, who also have full time jobs, so we appreciate your patience. Currently, the average timeframe for a response to your application is 1 week.
