Idaho American Bully Richmond, KY

Meet Idaho! Despite his name, this boy is no couch potato - he is a high-energy dog who loves to be outside. Can you guess his favorite type of toy from his pictures? Yep, this boy goes absolutely NUTS for sticks. He will chase after them for hours, and always has to try and find the biggest and best to bring back to his foster mama. Idaho loves going on hikes and other adventures with her, too. He has recently gotten into kayaking, and is loving every minute of it. Idaho especially loves meeting new people, although he can be a little too excited and jump on them when he's just meaning to say hello. He doesn't always know his own size.

Once he's all tuckered out from his adventures, Idaho loves to snuggle and curl up with his foster on the couch or bed. He is super affectionate and sweet, and LOVES belly rubs. He also listens well and knows basic commands (sit, down, shake, come).

Idaho is good with other dogs, as long as they're on his side of the fence. He does fence-fight. He enjoys playing and tumbling around with other dogs, but he can be a little dominant, so he would do best with dogs that won't challenge him. He has been gentle with kids at the center, but might not be great for very small kids, as he might knock them over on accident. He is not recommended for a home with cats.

Idaho is believed to be a pit mix, and is about 60lbs (all muscle). He is estimated to be about 5 years old as of December 2022. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application and home visit, his adoption fee is $159.
