Meet Ida

Hello my name is Ida! Some sweet, nice people are helping me adjust to this new wonderful life! They keep calling me Beautiful and telling me I am so soft and cuddly that I make an extremely cozy snuggler.

I love when they pet me! I think they know that I love them petting me because they pet me a lot. They tell me I have beautiful brown eyes that look at them with so much unconditional love and appreciation.

I am a ~1 year old, ~25 lbs, sweet, calm and quiet kind of girl! I love wandering around the yard with my foster siblings. I like taking leisurely strolls in the park and around the neighborhood. When I get tired I enjoy just laying back to people watch and puppy watch.

If you let me out regularly I am potty trained. At bedtime I sleep all night long where ever you choose for me to sleep.
I have been spayed, microchipped and up to date on my vaccines. I am heartworm positive and my treatment is being covered by Take Paws Rescue.

I am a sweet, beautiful, young girl looking for my forever loving family to begin my new happy life making many new wonderful, fun memories together!

If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting, the first step is to please visit our website to complete an application and read all of our FAQs: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/adopt

**Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, question, or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).

The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information.

2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our animals live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

For additional information, including the adoption process and our adoption fee scale for all our adoptable pets, see our FAQs page: https://www.takepawsrescue.org/faq
