Do you keep asking your parents for a pony and they keep saying no? Maybe next time you should ask them for Hunter! Weighing in at an astonishing 107 pounds, this big loveable lug may as well be a small horse. Sure, Hunter is a few pounds overweight but that doesn’t stop him from goofing off in the yard, playing with other dogs, and jumping in the pool (yes, even in the rain)! At 6 years of age this gentle giant truly deserves to find himself his forever home. He’s a pretty clever guy and has been known to open doors when no one is looking so a home with a secure and escape-artist proof yard would suit him well. Because he could stand to lose a few lbs. to be in optimum health as he approaches his early senior years, he is looking for adopters that are going to be up for daily walks and playtime. He is great with kids and often partakes in our kids' camp and after school programs. We heard through the grapevine that he has a history of chasing cats, so maybe no felines; but, with proper introduction here at the shelter, a canine buddy could work for him!
