Hunter is a delightful blend of energy, intelligence, and affection. His compatibility with other dogs and disinterest in cats make him an ideal addition to a loving home. Hunter thrives in the company of kids aged 10 and up.

Hunter is so funny! His antics include blowing bubbles in the water bowl and "diving" for toys in the kiddie/doggie pool. He is also very interested in flushing out birds and wading through streams on our hikes in the woods.
He plays hard but respects female alphas especially, and "cools it" when they admonish him. Hunter wants to be near his person/people so someone who loves that attention would be great for this sweet boy.

Hunter is food-motivated and loves his toys. He will steal a toy from other dogs, but also gives it up easily. Hunter often shares a dog bed with the resident poodle rescue. He is house and crate-trained. He does bark for a few minutes when crated.

Hunter is an active dog who loves being with people. He has excellent leash and car manners, making him a great companion for your outdoor adventures. Whether you're going for a jog or a stroll, Hunter is ready to join you every step of the way. Hunter is housetrained, well-mannered, and social. He will require a fenced yard to get his energy out and ideally an active companion or a dog or two to play with.
