Meet Honey Lemon

A bigger heart melter would be hard to find…meet Honey Lemon. This year old girl came to us very timid and unsure about people and living indoors. It’s clear she’s not had the best start in life; it seemed she had never had a human friend or been inside. Fast forward a couple of weeks, and Honey is really starting to blossom into a happy pup! We have discovered she loooooves playing with other dogs (she’s our go-to pup for playdates at the shelter), looooves going for bike rides, looooves going for walks in the woods with her friends, and is learning to trust people and seek attention from them. Along the way, this girl has become a staff favorite. Although she has a little more ways to go before she’s ready to take on all the world has to offer, Honey is off to an amazing start. An adopter who is experienced with helping timid dogs, a fenced yard, and perhaps another playful dog or two will fit the bill for this girl quite nicely, and we expect she’s going to make a marvelous pup for some lucky person!

Adopters will be considered on the totality of the application and how it matches the particular pet's needs.

Most dogs who come from the shelter will not be house trained.

We do not know or make guarantees that a dog or cat will do well with all children, other animals or is house-trained.

We will need to talk to all of the adults in the home prior to making an appointment to visit with a pet.

In most cases its necessary to to have family dogs come into meet your potential adoptee. Please be sure your dogs are spayed or neutered and current on vaccines (distemper - parvo and rabies) before bringing them for a meeting.

All dogs must be transported home in a travel crate to transport your new pup home safely.

Renters must provide a copy of a lease indicating pets are allowed or contact information for the landlord.
