Meet Holden!

Holden entered Coachella Valley Animal Shelter as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up to become a Frosted Face on February 29th. Holden is about 12 years old.

A few days after Holden arrived at FFF, he left on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn more about this cutie while he enjoys time in a calm home environment. He is doing so well that his Fling Mom has decided to foster Holden until he is adopted. Isn't that great?!

She reports:

"Holden is such a love!

- He is does great in the car, usually snuggles up and takes a nap.
- He is starting to enjoy his walks more and is doing great on a leash.
- He sleeps through the night.
- I have a potty pad in his x-pen when I am at work. He has only used it once. For the most part, he sleeps while I am gone
- On a couple walks, he has barked when my dog barked. It wasn't a lot, just a couple times. That is the only time I have heard him bark.
- No separation anxiety when I leave.
- He is a cuddler and will paw to get in my lap.
- He is a great eater and loves getting treats.

Holden traveled with me to Nevada and Utah for work and to Big Bear. My dog showed him the ropes of life on the road and in a hotel. Holden did great! In the hotel, he didn't bark or have any accidents. When coming in from a walk, he always ran right to our hotel room door and wagged his tail like he knew we were home!

Holden was a pro at the rest stop dog park and didn't mind the other dogs. He is fine with big dogs, but I think he prefers ones a little more his size. When we stopped at a store and a little girl wanted to pet him, he loved the little head scratches.

Holden will crawl into anyones lap if they let him and just lay down. He is so sweet and always has to have a paw on my leg. At home, he feels safe in his little x-pen apartment. He knows it is his spot, and I often find him there.
