Our always smiling meatball, Hippo is looking for her forever home! Hippo is loving all the attention in his foster home, because he absolutely loves people! Hippo enjoys spending his days curled up on his peoples lap soaking up all the love he can get! Hippo has great house manners, is house broken and just a joy! This handsome pittie is sweet, snuggly, playful and silly- what more could you want?!


I want to give you an update on Hippo.
He has been working on sitting. He is still a bit stubborn at times but understands he won't get the treat without sitting when asked.
He loves children! Was very good with my special needs granddaughter. He tried to sit in her lap, he liked her that much. Then took to our other granddaughter at first meeting.
He was great with meeting new people in the home.
He is learning the routine for going outside for the bathroom. We have learned some of his cues for the need.
He needs to sleep with someone, ( we had a pitbull mix that did the same) he likes to be next to someone.
He is excellent when left alone for up to 5 hours, no anxiety, he usually sleeps on our couch or bed. Does not tear up things or pee in the house. Loves to play and sit in the sun coming through the windows. He still has issues with other dogs. We are trying to work on that. We believe he is trainable. All in all he's a beautiful animal and soaking up the love we give.

• Puppy (6 months and under) -- $300.

• Adult (Dogs over 6 months of age) -- $275.

• Senior (Dogs over 7 years old) -- $150.
