Hero Pit Bull Terrier Mix Warrenville, IL

Hero came to our rescue in very rough shape, but his love for people got him through it! Hero couldn’t walk due to a systemic infection that almost killed him from a wound that didn’t heal correctly, we suspect that his mouth may have been taped shut at some point, and he was emaciated. Hero does not let his horrible past effect him, his love of all people and other animals is obvious, he is an inspiration to us all and lives up to his name daily!

Hero is an absolute sweetheart, and we suspect he might be a pit/hound mix of some kind! Hero is the best dog, his favorite place to be is sitting next to you with his head in your lap. He doesn’t chew on anything that is not his, and he loves every human and animal he meets. He has a medium-low energy level which makes him a great fit for most homes! He has a foster sibling he loves to play with, and he knows to go grab a toy when he has to get some energy out! Hero is learning commands and tricks, and is working on his crate training! He is truly the perfect dog.
