Herman Hound & Black Mouth Cur Mix Argyle, NY

­Herman is a 13 week old male Hound/Black Mouth Cur mix. He weighs approximately 7 lbs. Update - Herman has become very food motivated and is very engaged for such a young pup. He loves to play the get it game and chase his treats. He is also learning his basic commands of sit, down and place. He can be a little pushy if he doesn’t feel like he’s getting his treats fast enough. Only by giving a little bark but we do remind him that he doesn’t get rewarded for being pushy! He is a very nice, smart, balanced and playful pup!

Herman is confident and playful. He is very, very toy motivated. All he wanted to do was play with all the toys. Fun, playful puppy. When toys are around, he is more engaged, but still not food motivated. He is very young and his personality will keep developing over the coming weeks. Moderate energy level. Good with kids 6 and over. Good with other dogs, good with resources, positive toy drive - likes fetch and tug. Herman can be a little frantic with toys, needs to learn impulse control when young so he carries that into adulthood. Not much food drive yet.

Herman is available in NY through the Go North Program of The Lucky Puppy Rescue centered in Bonifay and Panama City, FL (NY Lic #1054). This dog is currently in NY. The minimum donation $525 adoption fee includes transportation from FL to NY, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, de-worm, flea prevention, heartworm prevention and martingale safety collar.
