Henry Chihuahua Mix Orange, CA

Henry is a handsome fox who is a perfect size and energy level. He is just the right amount of sweetness - he will curl up next to you but is not a lap hogger, and enjoys being petted all over. He gets very excited when the leash comes out and he walks very nicely on a leash around the neighborhood. He likes to chew on a yak chew/chew stick and nap in soft cozy spaces. Henry enjoys exploring in the back yard. He has not shown interest in the tennis ball but did play tug a war with a rope toy with another dog. Henry is great around dogs of all sizes and temperaments and does great, curious enough to play if engaged, and able to peacefully co-exist with multiple dogs at a time. He will do great in a home with other dogs (of any size).

He is housebroken and sleeps well through the night, preferably under the covers right by your feet! He is hard of hearing, so he is be very attentive to his person’s whereabouts and movements. He is a smart boy who will likely pick up sign language easily if the adopter chooses to use it. Henry is so great with other dogs, and they can help him be aware when there is movement in the house. He is looking for a home and family with other dogs (of any size) so he has a friend. He is good with the kids in his foster home. He loves to relax on couches and beds, so a home where that is allowed will be great! Henry will stare deeply into your eyes as scent and sight are his main communication tools and capture your heart so quickly!

Henry is in Los Angeles CA. He is ~8 years old, he weighs 18 lbs and we think he’s a Chihuahua or Shiba Inu mix. He was rescued with a double hernia and successfully went through surgery to repair them. He has fully recovered and the vet is very pleased with the results.
