Meet Harley (Spayed) (In Foster to Adopt)
Harley is a cute one-year old female Shepherd mix who was brought to the HSOV on January 23, 2024. This little cutie pie had appeared at a residence on Sixth Street in Lowell, Ohio about two-weeks ago and that family kept her safe in hopes that her owner could be located. They told us that Harley was good with children and also with other animals (not sure if that included cats as well as dogs).
Harley has a black-and-brown short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with hopeful trusting eyes, a brown mask, black shading on her muzzle, and large floppy ears.
These photos were taken on the evening of January 23, 2024 when HSOV Volunteers Angel Grosklos and Jennie Payton Sherrard treated Harley to some out-of-cage time in the lobby of our shelter and assisted Harley with 'glamour photos'. Harley has a fun-loving personality and was full of playful puppy energy. This little dollbaby loved attention from Angel and Jennie and showed her thanks by giving them lots of sweet puppy kisses.
Harley weighs 39 lbs and is the perfect size 'pup' to snuggle up with and share snacks while you watch tv or read a good book.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Harley will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
Since Harley was not reclaimed, she went home with a foster family on March 6, 2024 who plans to adopt her after she is spayed.
UPDATE: Harley was spayed on March 12, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. She was adopted by her foster family later that day. Her new name is Holly.
