Hank Weimaraner & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Longmont, CO

Hank is a 75 lb, 4.5 year old Weimaraner mix that is extremely loving to his adult companions, loving nothing more than to cuddle on a couch or in bed. He is a very loyal dog that would love to be the center of attention, and has been through some behavior training to help with greetings, recall, and walking (he tends to pull when on walks so a gentle lead is used). Hank is an emotional dog that would thrive in an environment where he does not have to compete with other animals or kids for attention. He has shown to anxiety with children so it is recommend that he is in a home that only has children above the age of 10. Hank does have some resource guarding behaviors with other dogs, so he should either be an only dog or adopted by a guardian who has a firm hand and authoritative control. Hank tends to be very calm when he is comfortable at home, and just needs a home that can give him all the love that he wants to give without extra stressors. He has been introduced to two cats in his lifetime and does very well with them. He does tend to also be an escape artist having a history of jumping and digging out of fencing that has holes forming beneath- a 6 ft fence that is well maintained would be necessary.
