Meet Gus

GUS:
This is my best boy Gus. I rescued him from an elementary school garden 3 years ago at 6 weeks of age. I was involved in rescue for over 3 years and helped over 80 dogs find their forever homes. In that process, I had a few foster fails along with my two original labs. I now have 5 dogs so we have a full house. In February, Gus and one of my labs decided they didn't want to be buddies anymore. I have tried everything, even going so far as to send Gus to training that cost me $5000. My white lab has had previous training so I thought this would solve the issue. It did not. That said, after trying for over a year and having to work tirelessly to keep them separated, I'm making the difficult choice of placing Gus up for adoption. He is the BEST dog. A Catahoula mix, he is long legged, great with people and kids. Given his track record with my lab, I would say he might need to be an only dog. He gets along with my other four, but I would hate to risk it. He knows commands, is potty and crate trained and is just a huge love bug. He'll hold your couch down and make sure it doesn't move. He'll snuggle with you at night.
He'll give you all the loves and kisses. He'd prefer to be inside and doesn't hang out in the outdoors much. He rides great in the car and on a leash (he also heels extremely well). He's 75 pounds of treat lovin' awesomeness. Neutered, UTD on all vaccines.
