Gumdrop Mixed Breed Saskatoon, SK

Gumdrop is a sweet girl (as her name indicates) that has had a rough start to her life and lived at a garbage dump. She isn't very large at all and measures approximately 18" tall and 40 lbs. A nice size to fit into many households, she is roughly 2 years old.

Gumdrop was very nervous and scared when she arrived. Her true personality is coming through now and she understands what it feels like to be a part of a family. She thinks its pretty fantastic! So she'd like me to send out the word that she is accepting applications for a family of her own to continue to thrive as the good dog she is.

Gumdrop gets along with the other dogs in her foster home. It took awhile but she's even decided that playing with dogs is so fun! She likes it when her friend chases her and she can do zoomies in the back yard. Her little legs give it their all! She also didn't understand toys at the beginning either but now squeaky stuffies make her tail wag. She learned quickly about going outside for the bathroom and hasn't had any accidents. She does not much care for her kennel and can became quite stressed and worried. She is left loose in the house at night and does not get into trouble. Food is her biggest joy in life and likes to tell you just how much she likes mealtime! She eats separate from the other dogs but has accepted treats with the others around and no food aggression noted.

Although Gumdrop is doing so well, she still can get worried about new things. She'd prefer a quieter home so she can feel at ease. Small children likely wouldn't suit her but older, gentle children should be fine. Her energy level would be considered low-moderate and she settles nicely both in the house and outside. Her new people will need to be patient and understand she needs some time to adjust and reassurance to feel safe and loved. But she is so worth it!

Gumdrop has been given a second chance at life and really wants to join a family to continue to do fun things and love her people. Please give her the opportunity and meet this lovely lady

Adoption fee is $295. She is spayed, microchipped, dewormed and current on vaccines.
