MEET GUMBO! He is a 10-week-old Pitbull mix and weighs about 15lbs! We were originally on a rescue for another dog when our director Lisa spotted Gumbo and his sister being transported loosely in the bed of a truck. When Lisa inquired with the drivers, they said the puppies were for sale and Lisa paid them off to bring these babies into our care for medical, and to find them incredible forever homes.

Gumbo and his sister are very similar — he is super friendly, smart, curious and adventurous. He greets every human and dog with a wagging tail and just as much as he loves to play with his sister and other dogs, he loves for the humans to join. While playful, he is also very laid back and will put himself to bed when he’s tired. According to his fosters, he is nearly potty trained and loves playing with and napping with their kittens!

Gumbo is going to grow up to be a big, strong boy (60-70lbs) and will need a dedicated family preferably with bully breed experience who will give him LOTS of needed daily exercise. Like any of our Pitties, his adopter will be required to invest in training! Applicants must have a backyard and preferably another doggy sibling.

Applicants must be based in Southern California and if there are children in the home, children must be 10+ years or older.

Adoption fee is $500. Our rescue covers microchip, vaccinations to adoption date and his neuter at one of our veterinarians in Los Angeles when he is old enough.
