Gretchen Australian Shepherd Peru, NY

Gretchen and her sister Regina were rescued from a hoarding situation with over 20 other Miniature Australian Shepherds. She is quite standoffish and very nervous. We don't believe these dogs had much contact with humans or experience with being touched. They tolerate it, but they don't seem to enjoy it, but that doesn't mean they won't make good pets. They will just need to adjust to their new home in their own time, so they will need someone who is willing to be patient and gentle while they figure their new life out. We would recommend these girls go to a home with a fenced-in yard so they can run around and play. They are funny to watch and have quite silly little personalities, they just need someone to give them a chance. ***Petfinder inquiries are not monitored by Elmore SPCA***
