Granola--Still available 1/23 Akita & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Huntersville, NC

Granola is a young adult, spayed female, mixed-breed dog of about 1 and 1/2 to 2 years of age. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter on her day of euthanasia along with her unborn puppies. Granola had 10 beautiful babies under our care. She is now recovering from her spay surgery (today is 9/20/22), and she'll be ready for her forever home very soon! She is heartworm positive, but that just means she'll need to take medicine in her food dish for several months post adoption. She is expected to make a full recovery. Heartworm is not transmissible to humans or other pets. Granola is such a lap baby. She is very friendly, outgoing and loving. Her eyes will melt your heart! She enjoys the company of another dog and did well with my older children. She likes to play with toys and chew bones. She is fond of stuffed animals and loves to curl up in a dog bed.
