Goose is a retriever mix around 2-3 years old. He knows sit, down, and shake. He was clearly someone's pet but unfortunate circumstances found him left at a truck stop. Goose is a happy dog with lots of love to give, after he warms up to you. Being abandoned has left a little stranger danger with him so he does need someone who is patient and will allow him to warm up on his time. Once he has warmed up, he is super loving and loyal. He wants to be with you all the time, doing whatever you are doing. Goose is learning not to pull when on leash but is pretty good off leash. His recall is getting better all the time.

Goose does well with other dogs and tends to be a bit of a bully. He wants to play all the time so having a playful companion would be great for Goose. Goose would do best in a home with consistency as changes are stressful for him. Goose is currently hanging out with our dogs and gets to help with farm chores. He is learning not to annoy the horses and does a good job most of the time. He is learning good redirection and responds to the vibration collar. He will chase cats so a home without cats would be ideal. As he is wary of new people, a home with older dog savvy children would be best.
