Gizmo Miniature Schnauzer Littleton, CO

Gizmo was a breeder’s stud dog, but he wasn’t getting the job done, so he started his life of being sold to breeder after breeder. He was moved around a lot from place to place until one breeder just wanted rid of him and gave him to rescue. Gizmo is a small (not even 10 lbs) little cream colored guy. We think that he is about 6 years old. He is very smart. He learned the way to go outside to potty and back to his area of his foster home in only three days. He even tells his foster mom when he needs to go out, most of the time. For a breeder dog who has been moved around so much, he is pretty social and trusting. We could handle him, pick him up and carry him the day that he came to rescue. He has been enjoying going outside in the warm weather and sitting in the sun.

Based on his background, we think that Gizmo’s ideal home would be with a retired person or couple, or someone working from home much of the time, with no children, and perhaps a companion dog who could teach him how to have fun just being a dog. We think that he would enjoy a fenced-in backyard to wander around and sunbathe in!!

Gizmo is up to date on his vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped.
