Girlie Girl - $400 Chihuahua Mix Milwaukee, WI

Meet Girlie Girl, the little pint size 11lb, 1 year old chihuahua.
As we are getting to know her a little more we have learned even though she’s shy, the more she learns to trust us all she wants is to be on our lap. Girlie does live with other resident dogs and other foster dogs and she doesn’t really care that they are around she just wants her humans. When she first arrived here from Oklahoma she didn’t want anyone touching her and would bark and bark. Before you knew it she was jumping in our laps. She is most content laying on her person which she picked my 18year old son. She does go by everyone but she needs to know they are a safe person and then she’s all over them like butter on bread. Also she doesn’t give any cues that she has to go potty but we have her on a schedule and she will do her business outside. She caught on very quickly how to use the doggie door so she can come and go when we are home. When we are not home with a couple treats she will stay quiet in her kennel.
Girlie girl is a very low maintenance pup and does not ask for a lot or need a lot if she can just snuggle in your lap. So if your looking for a side kick she is your Girlie girl!

Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
