Meet Ginny
Hi, my name is Ginny! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:
-Personality: Shy, silly, exuberant
-Can Live with Kids: Unknown history, 8+ and dog savvy. Up to counselor's discretion.
-Can Live with Cats: Unknown history, slow and supervised introductions.
-Can Live with Dogs: Yes, it would be beneficial for Ginny to live with a well-socialized dog who could teach her the ropes. She loves to play so she would like a canine companion who is also willing to play and romp around.
-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended, but could be ok with plenty of daily exercise/mental stimulation. We would not recommend leaving her alone for 8+ hours a day in an apartment.
-Potty Trained: Unknown
-Bite History: No
-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No, but highly recommended!
-Energy Level: Medium/High
-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Yes, spay/MC
Ginny is a young shepherd in need of a stable, loving home to settle into. Ginny came into us with unknown history and a lack of socialization. While she's been here, she's been gaining her confidence with a variety of people on staff. She's started showing her silly side and loves to play with her toys and bounce around. She'd do best with someone who knows some basic info about shepherd traits! It's obvious this girl is very intelligent and eager to please. If you think Ginny could be the girl for you, please fill out an application!
If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website (www.whatcomhumane.org/adopt) or in person at our facility. We recommend calling into the shelter after your application has been submitted so our front desk can give you next steps on our adoption process.
