Gertie English Bulldog Van Vleck, TX

Here is what the foster mom says about Gertie:
Now that Gertie has been here in Austin for a couple of weeks, shes settled in as part of the pack. Gerties typical day starts with yard time while the weather is decent. She lays out by the big tree with her foster brothers. When they come back in, she has breakfast and spends the morning between sunning in the yard and napping next to me while I work. She naps often and doesnt snore but makes this adorable sighing noise. In the evening, she has dinner with everyone and gets her wrinkles and eyes cleaned, and every couple of days, a brush session with the furminator.
Gertie has been very sweet with our toddler, and our two male Bostons. At night, shes happy to sleep on the bathroom floor, then migrates to a large dog bed in our bedroom. When were not home, she can be coaxed into the crate with a treat. We are working with Gertie on potty training, and redirecting her desire to chew household items with one of her toys. Shes doing really well with both! I call her the ninja because she is very quiet and I often have to hunt around the corners to find her splooting on the floor.
Her loves include the kiddie pool, any type of ball, napping, sunning, being with people, and treats! Gertie is food-motivated and were using that to our advantage with training.
We love hosting her and are constantly laughing at her pleasing and comical behavior. She would do wonderful in any situation where she could be a companion!
Gertie is approximately 4 years old at 50lbs. She is chocolate merle English Bulldog. She is fun loving, friendly, sweet and a funny girl. Gertie loves water and swimming in the kiddie pool! Shes great with other dogs, cats, children and everyone!! Gertie is UTD on vaccines, has been spayed and had her eyelids repaired for entropianand uses rx eye drops.
