Meet Georgi

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Georgi, the delightful 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Boston Terrier mix who's ready to steal your heart! Georgi is a bundle of joy who quickly settled into his foster home like he's been there forever. With leash and crate training already under his belt, he's a dream companion for walks or cozying up on your lap while you work.

He's housebroken, though there might be some initial marking. Georgi interacted wonderfully with my granddaughters, aged 7 and 9, during their visit. However, I'm uncertain how he'd react to much younger children.

Georgi is happiest when he's outdoors, whether he's exploring the neighborhood or enjoying playtime with other dogs.

He'd be an ideal companion for jogging or any active pursuits.

Despite his occasional mischievous streak, Georgi is a quiet and easy companion who's sure to bring endless love and laughter into your home. If you're ready for a loyal and loving furry friend who's as adaptable as he is adorable, Georgi is the perfect match for you!

Georgi is from Texas.

** One big thing you should know is they are heartworm positive - but please don't let that scare you away from adopting them! After they undergo treatment for their condition they will be completely healthy again, and heartworm is not a contagious disease.

Because they need treatment, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) program.

to learn more about this program.

They will get heartworm treatment at one of Ruff Start's partner veterinary clinics in St. Cloud, so their foster will need to be comfortable getting them to and from the appointments. Treatment will consist of three injections: the first will be roughly 30 days after they enter rescue. Then, the second and third injections will happen 30 days after the first. When they are undergoing treatment, they should be on activity 'restrictions' which just means they should relax in their crate or cuddle with you.
