Meet George....he would love to come to NY to meet you, but he needs a foster home before he can.

George is a male Retriever/Lab mix around 1-2 yrs. old and 35 lbs.

Better get ready for lots of lovin’ and action. George loves to be rubbed, especially have his head messaged around his eyes! He’s very dog friendly and his favorites are a couple girl pitties here. He is fed in his crate and will run to it at breakfast and dinner. For just treats…can be a little stubborn. He eventually settles down but will bark when first goes in if no food. Does well on a leash. Rides well in a car in a crate. House trained but occasionally forgets. Corrects easily. Sleeps uncreated at night next to where ever you sleep and may try to get in bed with you. loves to cuddle ?? No cats. He is super smart . He would be great for an active family to take him on hikes and runs. He will need a 6 foot fence as he can sail over a 4 ft fence without a problem.

We are presently not holding our regular Saturday adoption clinics due to the Covid-19 virus. We are operating on a limited basis until further notice, but we are still adopting dogs out. We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $350. Dogs over 2 years old are $250. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
