Gentle Geo has a heart of gold and an unwavering loving spirit. He's affectionate, bouncy and playful, social, intelligent and loves to be by your side. Geo is a snuggle champ and loves to lounge on his favorite couch, but he's always ready to roam the neighborhood and say hi to his fur friends. He does fabulously on leash and doesn't pull. He will get a bit excited if he sees a running squirrel, but he'll stay by your side like a good boy. He will even hop in your car ready for an epic road trip or, better yet, to the pet store for some yummy treats!
Geo was brought into a high intake shelter in California as a stray with an embedded collar in his neck, showing signs of neglect and possible abuse. Geo has come so far from being a scared shelter dog. He's making incredible progress daily, and he will continue to thrive in a loving home with humans who are compassionate and patient. He is house-trained, has learned to ''sit'' on command and his recall is nearly rock-star ready! He is learning to adjust to his crate, and this will get better in time. Based on his current needs, his ideal scenario would be someone who works from home or isn't gone for long periods of time. Bonus if there's already another fun-loving pup in the family!
Geo is social with other dogs and would do well to have a canine companion who likes to play. He's great with respectful children 8 and up, and will shower everyone with slobbery kisses. Belly rubs are his jam, and he'll thank you for them with his infinite love. Geo has shown he is open to living in a home with a feline friend. He's a healthy boy with no medical issues, and he's current on all his vaccinations. Geo is not a candidate for apartment living and would prefer to have a yard or a small outdoor space. Due to his early life a low traffic household would be ideal.
