Gemma Italian Greyhound Edgewater, MD

Gemma is a sweet little 12 year old girl.

She’s quite small at 8 lbs. and very skittish but warms up quickly. Has a very sweet & spunky personality that does well with small and large dogs, but isn’t interested in playing with them. If she’s not laying on your lap, she laying by herself in her bed. Gemma LOVES burrowing herself in a nice warm blanket or covered bed. She’s very vocal when she wants your attention but otherwise is very quiet.

She’s pee pad trained but is currently crated at night due to the occasional accident. The previous owner had issues with Gemma using the restroom in the house often. We’ve had minimal problems recently with frequent let outs throughout the day. She loves exploring the fenced in backyard when there is warm weather.

She loves her treats/food and is not picky! Now having 0 teeth, it’s easiest for her to eat her food hydrated with some water.

Gemma’s up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. She does not hear or see very well. In the mornings or after a nap, she needs a gentle pet to wake her up. Her night time vision isn’t as good as it once was, so extra lights outside for nighttime potting are essential.

She’s is more than ready for her final forever home. Gemma’s unique personality makes her the most wonderful pet. Gemma needs a home without kids and her humans should not be gone more than a few hours as she deserves to be treated like the princess she is which means not being alone.

She is being fostered near Waldorf Maryland.
