Meet Frida
Hello there, I’m Frida!
I am a young lady (2 year old) pit bull mix and a wonderful dog that will excel with some extra training. I have been working hard at house breaking and am happy to report that I am doing well. I’ve been allowed to roam freely in my foster home and haven’t had any problems. I rarely bark and don’t chew on things that aren’t mine. My foster dad gives me rotisserie chicken and I’ve gotta tell you, it’s the BEST THING EVER! I like to sleep on the couch and am a fast learner (I already know sit and paw).
I think that walks are SUPER EXCITING, but I am a strong girl and still learning to walk nicely on leash so I will need some help learning that skill. I am friendly toward other dogs, but not tested with cats. I get along with young children and if you let me, I will chase all the squirrels! Also I love bully sticks, chuck-it and kong balls and wait patiently when I need help retrieving them from under furniture.
I am a people dog, and happily give out kisses and wags in exchange for attention, ear scratches and belly rubs. My foster dad describes me as “a kind of shadow who loves to be near her people everywhere.” I’d love the chance to meet you!

We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog.
Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. We encourage you to base your decision on individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on our guess.
Please understand, we only adopt our animals out near the Chicagoland area. Questions? Email us at adoptions@sccrescue.org. Hope to see you become part of the SCCR family!
