WE ARE IN URGENT NEED OF FOSTER HOMES
WHY DOES UGLY MUTTS NEED FOSTER HOMES?
Foster families are the very backbone of Ugly Mutts Dog Rescue. As we do not have a physical shelter, we depend on caring individuals to open their hearts and their homes to care for and maintain the rescued dogs until they can be rehomed with loving, committed adopters.
WHY SHOULD I FOSTER A DOG?
Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting of course). By caring for an animal in need temporarily in your home:
You are saving the life of a deserving dog that might otherwise be euthanized due to no fault of their own.
You give the dog the time they need to be ready for adoption.
You help us learn more about the dog which helps ensure they end up in the best home possible.
You help with socializing the dog to a home environment, people and other pets.
WHAT DOES FOSTERING A DOG FOR UGLY MUTTS DOG RESCUE INVOLVE?
When you agree to foster a dog, you agree to take responsibility for a homeless pet and give him or her love, care and attention, until he or she is adopted. All the food, supplies and vetting are provided by the Rescue.
You will receive an Ugly Mutts Foster Guide which will give you informative information on bringing your foster dog home, and tips on feeding and training. As well, you will have access to our team of Rescue Coordinators for any additional help you need along the way.
All of the dogs you foster will have been chosen based on your requirements, your family situation, and your abilities, to ensure there is an easy transition into your home.
