Hi! My name is Forest, and I’m a 10 month old bouncy boy pointer puppy. I love playing with other dogs, playing tug of war and fetch. I was born deaf, which is how I came to the Pointer Rescue Organization, but I am learning hand signals. I know come, sit, and down and am learning others. I’m fully house trained. I am a super friendly with all people and other dogs, and would love a home with a younger dog like me who likes to play as much as I do.

I really like being near people. Especially when I am seeing new things, I like to be in physical contact with my people by leaning on them. My foster mom says this is probably because I am deaf and like the reassurance. I am the ultimate Velcro dog; I like to know where you are at all times and that means being very close. I also love snuggles and pats. I am a happy go-lucky boy who has had the good fortune of being around kind people my whole life.

Other than being a little unsure of new things I see now and then, I really don’t have any fears. Life is good, and I’m happy to be here every day! Foster Mom says my ideal home would be one that has another younger dog for me to play with in an active family that will make sure I get all the exercise a young pointer puppy needs. While training may take a little more patience because I am deaf, foster mom says there are some unique advantages to a deaf puppy, like I’m not afraid of fireworks, and if all the other dogs are barking, I don’t join in. And when I get put to bed, I am out for the night. If foster mom sneaks into the kitchen in the middle of the night to grab a bag of chips, I won’t give her away.

Foster Mom says I am so stinkin’ cute and happy that I am going to make my furever family really happy.
