Fluffy Cavalier King Charles Spaniel & Papillon Mix Van Nuys, CA

Introducing Fluffy, a precious 6 lb pup with a spirit-filled heart. This little baby girl, estimated to be between 6-8 years old, found herself facing a heartbreaking fate at a high kill Los Angeles animal shelter simply because she was older than 5 years. But luckily, Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue caught wind of this sweet angel and stepped in to save her life. At Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue, we always believe in giving every dog a chance, regardless of their age. We knew that this baby girl deserved a second shot at life. We understand that older dogs may come with some additional veterinary needs, but we have faith in our community to support us in providing the care she requires. Currently, Fluffy is safe and sound with her foster parents in Lakewood, CA. Fluffy was spayed just in time as her uterus was on the verge of collapse. Fluffy also underwent an extensive dental. She had 15 teeth removed because the decay was so bad inside of her mouth that she was suffering from a double nasal fistula. Fortunately, everything was repaired and she is eating well and seems to be so much happier. She is now ready for adoption. We are looking for someone who will truly value her sweet presence and provide her with the loving home she deserves for the rest of her life. Given the obvious neglect of this 6 lb. ball of gorgeous, sweet, cautious smarts- it's amazing that her fosters are beginning to see how quickly she is responding to consistency, and love with an emerging trust and slightly cheeky personality. Her fosters are so glad to be a part of the next, and we are sure, the best stage of her life. We recommend a home with calm kids 12 and up. Couple of others things about Fluffs: She enjoys sleeping in her crate, not in a bed. She finds the crate a real safe space during the day (with the door open). She is shy with cuddles, or any contact to start with. It will take time to build trust. She would probably thrive in a one-on-one relationship, and has a special fondness of her foster Papa.
