On March 14th, Faith had her surgery, thanks to your generous donations. One kind family donated over $4,000 and another family did $500. We are so grateful for these donations, but the smaller donations matter too and we can’t thank everyone enough. Faith is now in a calm temp foster home with no other dogs or small kids so she can heal properly. She will have a very large scar on her tummy, but is doing great! Faith will most likely need about two weeks of rest and then she will be looking for her forever home.

Faith came to us having episodes of falling over in her water bowl, following the wall, temporary blindness and other neurological issues. All signs pointed towards a liver shunt, which is a deadly congenital issue for her breed. After testing, our vets confirmed our suspicions.?

We are working with our vets and she is currently stable through managing her diet but this is not a sustainable approach if she is going to live a long happy life. SGDH desperately needs your help to get this angel the surgery she needs. With this surgery, Faith has a 90% chance of living a long, normal life!
