Eva Sloughi Mix Pointe-Claire, QC

Eva is a brown Moroccan beldi dog who is about 9 months old and weighs less than 40 pounds. She was found by someone that would feed her regularly, under a big rock not moving and refusing to eat when she was about 2-3 months old. He was worried that she was sick and brought her to the vet but all tests came negative. Baby girl was healthy but just sad about being all alone. He decided to keep her in his house until now; the neighbours are complaining and he can’t have her anymore. She is a shy dog that needs human company and can’t be brought back to live in the streets as she won’t make it.

Eva is okay with dogs she is afraid at first but then she’s okay. She is very playful and will run around with the other dog and play when she’s comfortable. She is great with kids as well and is used to walking on leash. The only thing with Eva is that she excited pees on herself, this can be fixed with training and should desist as her bladder grows also.

Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months! We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!
Eva is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and sterilized and will come with her medical booklet. All dogs will come with a trainer willing to help you with any issues and their adaptation to the home.

Eva est une chienne beldi marocaine brune âgée d'environ 9 mois et pesant moins de 40 livres. Elle a été trouvée par quelqu'un qui la nourrissait régulièrement, sous un gros rocher, ne bougeant pas et refusant de manger quand elle avait environ 2-3 mois. Il craignait qu'elle soit malade et l'a amenée chez le vétérinaire, mais tous les tests se sont révélés négatifs. La petite fille était en bonne santé mais juste triste d'être toute seule. Il a décidé de la garder chez lui jusqu'à présent ; les voisins se plaignent et il ne peut plus l’avoir. C’est une chienne timide qui a besoin de compagnie humaine et qui ne peut pas être ramenée vivre dans la rue car elle n’y arrivera pas.

Eva est d'accord avec les chiens dont elle a peur au début mais ensuite tout va bien. Elle est très joueuse et courra avec l’autre chien et jouera quand elle se sentira à l’aise. Elle est également très à l'aise avec les enfants et a l'habitude de marcher en laisse. La seule chose avec Eva, c'est qu'elle s'excite à faire pipi sur elle-même, cela peut être résolu avec de l'entraînement et devrait cesser à mesure que sa vessie grossit également.

Parfois un chien met un peu plus de temps à s'ouvrir, vous le verrez peut-être montrer de plus en plus sa personnalité au cours des premiers jours, semaines voire mois ! Nous ne savons pas tout ce qu’ils ont vécu avant d’être secourus, mais ils sont tellement indulgents et pleins d’amour et chaque moment difficile en vaut finalement la peine. Développer une relation de confiance avec votre chien de sauvetage est la chose la plus importante. La stabilité, la patience, le renforcement positif et l’amour sont les choses les plus importantes !
Eva est vaccinée, pucée, vermifugée et stérilisée et sera accompagnée de son livret médical. Tous les chiens seront accompagnés d'un dresseur prêt à vous aider en cas de problème et dans leur adaptation à la maison.
