Eugene German Shepherd Dog Searsmont, ME

Eugene is here in Maine and comes to us from another Rescue in CA. We agreed to take on a couple of their dogs so they could make room to take in more shelter dogs...win win for the dogs!
Eugene was rescued by them from a Shelter there when he was put on the euthanasia list.
Eugene is about 6 yrs old and is fairly small....maybe 60-65 lbs. He is a very friendly boy and is good with other dogs as you can see! Eugene stayed with a foster in CA, and he is HOUSEBROKEN and crate trained too! What we have learned about him is that he is very puppyish and mouthy, and needs a little leash training. We will gladly pay for a private training session for Eugene and his adopter to help with that. He doesn't pull terribly hard so he is manageable on a leash, just isn't used to it! Eugene does have some energy so will need daily walks/play.
He will make a really great companion and he is very handsome! This is a GREAT boy!

PLEASE NOTE that we will call your vet to ensure all current and prior dogs have been kept up to date on rabies and distemper at a minimum as well as annual heartworm test and a minimum of 6 mos heartworm preventative purchased per year. Any current pets must be spayed/neutered.
