Ethan German Shepherd Dog Rochester, NY

ETHAN is a stunning 2 year old purebred German Shepherd Dog who's put on some weight with us since he arrived - he came to us very underweight at just 45 lbs and we've got him to almost 70 lbs. He's a really nice dog and dog-friendly. Likely due to his time as a stray, he is obsessed with food, but not at all aggressive. But he will counter surf if allowed the opportunity. He's a super nice dog and a diamond in the rough - with some training, he will easily learn manners and should be fine with cats with proper introduction. He gets along with the other dogs he lives with, but can be a pushy player, so as long as you don't have a dog who has no patience for that, he would be good with most dogs. When we got him, he had no fur. He has grown a lot of his fur back, but will never grow it back all the way. Regardless, he'll make a really nice dog for someone. We are recommended a home for him with children 10 and up, because he is a mouthy player.

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We do application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there are NO DOGS KEPT AT THE SHOP.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
