Esperanza Husky & Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix Seattle, WA

My name is Esparanza, and I have quite the tale to tell. I was found on the side of a highway on a freezing night, injured from being hit by a car. If it weren't for the kind souls who rescued me, I might not be here today. After undergoing surgery to repair my broken femur, I've received the all-clear from my surgeon and I'm ready to embrace life to the fullest!

The vet believes I'm a mix of Husky and Catahoula, making me quite the unique pup and around 6 years old! With my striking looks and strong build, I'm ready to embark on adventures with an active family who can match my boundless energy.

I'm kennel and house trained, and have mastered the "sit" command, although I admit I can be a bit stubborn at times, typical of my Husky heritage. I am working on leash skills. I am so excited to explore so I tend to pull. With patience and consistency, I'm eager to learn more tricks and commands. I've surprised my foster mom by not being a chewer. I can be quite the barker when I'm excited or when you return home, but otherwise I'm not a barker.

I thrive in an environment where I can stay busy and active. Long walks, hikes, or even a jog around the neighborhood sound like the perfect way to spend the day. While I may pull on the leash, with some training and guidance, I'm sure to improve.

Although I love companionship, I would do best in a home without young children or with kids aged 10 and older. My strong personality and high energy might be a bit overwhelming for the little ones.
