My name is Ernesto (Ernie for short) and I am a very sweet and gentle middle aged man. I am the definition of a laid back, loyal, couch potato. I much prefer to hangout with my person than anything else! My favorite hobbies include making sure the kitchen floor is completely crumb free, keeping your spot on the sofa warm, and napping anywhere/anytime. I am great with other dogs and have been around cats and shown no interest. I have met quite a few children and been great with all! Adopt me today!

Visit us and view our adoptable animals today! If you find an animal that you are interested in, all adoptable animals are available on a first come, first served basis once adoption is approved. Applications are not required prior to viewing our animals but must be completed prior to moving forward with an adoption.

All of our adoption fees are currently waived!

Cats and Dogs adopted out are vaccinated for rabies and other common diseases, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have received heartworm and flea prevention while at the shelter. Dogs are tested for heartworm disease and cats for feline leukemia and FIV. All Sumter County residents will receive a free County tag for their new dog or cat!
