Meet Ernie
Ernie is a sweet and handsome Catahoula mix, with some strange quirks...
He can be social when he gets the urge, though most of the time he prefers to be in his crate (with the door open) or in his "safe place".
Ernie is ok with other dogs, but he prefers to be the only dog in the home, as he is "skiddish" and antisocial, if he sees another dog. He has not had exposure to cats, while in our rescue.
He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped.
Ernie needs a home where he can be the only dog, getting all the attention, and a family who can bring him out of his shell, and instill some confidence in his personality.
It seems as though Ernie favors men over women, though he is not aggressive at all towards women...just a little more reserved in their presence.
