Ember - $400 Labrador Retriever Mix Milwaukee, WI

Hi I’m Ember and I’m a 1-2 year old 48lb lab mix. I love my foster mom so much I follow her around the house all day and sleep next to her while she works. I’m very shy and need some time to get used to people and loud noises, but once your my friend all I want is lots of pets! My foster mom says I’m the softest, prettiest girl and share her love of blankets. I don’t know many tricks, but I go outside to go potty and lay down nicely while my family is eating. I also sleep all night on my dog bed without disturbing anything but I’m okay in my kennel when my family leaves too. I would probably do best in a quieter home but do get along with my human sisters as long as they don’t scare me too much. I also love getting my “zoomies” out outside and love the snow. I can’t wait to find my forever family and show you what a good dog I can be.

If you would like to be considered as a potential adopter for one of our great dogs, please go to our website- www.luckymuttsrescue.org and submit an application. Our application process includes landlord approval and vet checks. Please make sure all of your information is current and accurate, including a valid email address and phone numbers. Inaccuracies and/or incomplete data will delay and/or cancel your application. We strive to process all applications in a timely manner, but with the high volume of applications we are receiving, it is taking anywhere from 1-3 weeks. You may be contacted via email if there are concerns or questions. Once all of your information is reviewed and if your application is approved, you will be notified via email. Submitting an application and receiving an approval does not guarantee you will be adopting the dog you applied for. Once you move to the meet and greet process, you will be contacted by the foster family to further discuss the dog, and answer questions you may have, and if applicable, a meet and greet will be set up at our adoption center. Meet and greets are only set up with approved applicants, and we require all members in the household to be present, as well as any current dogs in the home.

Current Adoption Fees Are:
$400+tax for puppies to 3 years old
$350+tax for ages 4-7
$250+tax for ages 8 and up
Bonded pairs vary

The adoption fee covers spay/neuter, up to date age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, general deworming, heartworm test, (if over 6 months) and a certified veterinary inspection. Please be aware, listed dog breeds are based on information provided and cannot be guaranteed. Submitting an application for a particular dog does not guarantee that you will be the applicant chosen, we receive several applications for each dog. Our adopters are picked based on the needs of the dog, and the home we feel with best fit based on your responses to our application, vet information and landlord requirements. Approved applicants not chosen for the dog you applied for, will be in active status for a period of six months. We encourage you to watch Petfinder, Facebook and our website for upcoming dogs.
