Eeyore Coonhound Mix Sault Sainte Marie, MI

This appx 8-year-old hound dog is living up to his namesake as we are getting to know him. We are hoping that a new home will cheer him up and change his gloomy, stoic demeanor. Eeyore came to us after being struck by a vehicle (is now healed) and was never reclaimed so he is looking for his new, forever placement! He is a humongous hound mix- seriously, we have never seen such a big hound boy! Eeyore enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with a squeaky toy. He likes to take his winning toy into his kennel and have a nice chew on it after he's finished playing. Eeyore doesn't seem to be bothered by most of the other dogs here at the shelter but is a little too interested cats for our comfort. Eeyore is looking for a home with older teens and above. Eeyore recently went on a home visit and it appears that he is not used to indoor living- he will need a patient home to help integrate him to the good life.
