Meet Duncan!
Duncan is a 3 year old wire haired terrier mix, who weighs about 40lbs. Duncan was recently returned to AHR, as he had too much energy and did not thrive in a home with children.

Duncan is a spirited terrier mix with a zest for life. With his handsome looks, he is sure to capture your attention. Duncan is a bundle of energy and enthusiasm, always ready for an adventure or a game of fetch in the yard.

Duncan is also a pup with his own unique personality and preferences. He thrives in an environment with clear boundaries and structure, and he's looking for an experienced family who can understand and accommodate his needs. He can be bossy, so will need the right guidance and training. He is currently working on training and learning how to settle. He requires both mental and physical stimulation to keep him centered. He enjoys puzzles, training and playing games in his foster home. He had been going to doggy day care in his previous home, one day per week and a dog walker.

Duncan loves to get up in his foster families lap,but does not care to be pet. Instead, he would prefer to just
hang out without the affection.

Duncan is looking for a home with experienced owners who are excited to work with him on training and will work to understand his unique personality. patience, experience and consistency are key when it comes to helping Duncan settle into his new environment. He thrives in the company of other dogs and would love a canine companion to play with, although supervision and boundaries are important, especially because Dunkin prefers to rough house.

While he may tolerate dog-savvy cats, Duncan prefers feline friends who can hold their own against his playful antics. He walks well on a leash, is fully potty trained, and knows basic commands.
